Geodware Game Jam day 4


Alright. Day 4.

Day 4 was quite a learning experience. But first, the unfinished problem. The hitbox issue was literally a laugh: unconnected signal. A rookie mistake, but so are typos and the like that are hard to avoid.

I decided to remove the midair attack and tweak some of the terrain so it wouldn't be an issue.

Now for the day's learning experience, well, it took some time to manipulate the signals of powerups, but eventually I managed to streamline it so I could use multiple powerups at the same time with different effects. Another thing I managed to produce are moving terrain. Despite the poor quality of code which involved body enter and body exit, the overall effect manage to convey the results I desired. However, it was the best solution and would hopefully streamline it so the code would be cleaner and more versatile, with less need of playtesting.

That's it and tomorrow(or today) I'll be working on the final level before tackling cutscenes(?) And audio!
